Google has announced that it began rolling out Panda 4.2 this weekend.
After a ten month wait, Google told Search Engine Land that the refresh will take months and is happening incredibly slowly – which is why the majority of webmasters may not have noticed it this weekend. Google also confirmed that Panda 4.2 is site-wide, affecting roughly 2% – 5% of English language queries, though some pages will not see immediate changes.
The refresh presents an opportunity for those suffering from penalties as a result of September’s Panda 4.1 update. Those website owners who have implemented changes correctly should see changes to their organic search result rankings over the next few months.
We’ll keep you posted with any big news from the Panda 4.2 refresh. In the meantime, check out Search Engine Land’s useful timeline of Panda updates.
